The Source is an app developed as a potential solution to the question: How might we help Calgarians be responsible consumers when it comes to purchasing groceries?
Through ethnographic research, desk research, stakeholder and subject matter expert interviews, I found that access to ‘responsible’ groceries (those that are seasonally, ethically and responsibly grown) is difficult for Calgarians. The Source is a mobile app that serves to bridge the gap between local farmers and consumers, delivering responsible groceries with convenient, and budget-friendly options for meals right to consumers’ doors.
